THE ORTUS RESIDENCE ENTERED THE GREEN SCHEME OF SLOVENIAN TOURISM
In 2024, Rezidenca Ortus became part of Slovenia Green, the green scheme of Slovenian tourism that promotes sustainable development and a responsible attitude toward the environment.
Sustainability is deeply embedded in the daily operations of our hotel. In collaboration with nearby organic winemakers, such as Zaro and Bordon, we offer EKO-certified wines produced without chemicals and pesticides. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but also supports local producers.
In our restaurant, we have eliminated the use of single-use packaging. Similarly, in our hotel rooms, we provide high-quality personal care products in refillable bottles, further minimizing waste.
We also place great emphasis on proper waste sorting and recycling, thanks to the training provided to our staff.
Understanding the importance of natural resources, we use groundwater to water the green areas around the hotel. Additionally, our rooms are equipped with low-flow showers and faucets, ensuring water efficiency and helping address the water scarcity challenges in our region, especially during the summer months.
By joining the Slovenia Green scheme, Rezidenca Ortus is further committed to sustainable development while contributing to preserving the natural beauty of the Slovenian coast. Our dedication to responsible tourism is a step toward a better world for future generations.
We are grateful to all our guests who support us on this journey – together, we create a sustainable future!
