BEACHES OF ANKARAN

The real summer begins at the coast and the sea. In the area of Ankaran and its surroundings, there are various beaches that will satisfy both those who want to deepen their contact with the natural coast, as well as those who prefer comfort. The great news is that all Ankaran beaches are connected by a free summer bus, which makes it easy to get to them!

Catering is available on all well-kept beaches, and lifeguards from the water naturally take care of safety. Otherwise, Ankaran has many hidden wild beaches, on lonely and rocky parts of the coast. The Slovenian sea is shallow, which makes it warm and pleasant for swimming in the summer months, and on the hottest days the temperature rises to 28 degrees Celsius!

Organized beaches are, for example, the Valdoltra beach, which is located 250m away from our hotel. One of the largest beaches in the municipality of Ankaran is the Debeli rtič beach, followed by the Adria Ankaran beach, the Študent beach, Saint Katarina beach and the RKS Debeli rtič health resort, which is also open to all visitors.

Otherwise, the underwater world of the Ankaran Sea is extremely diverse and rich in different habitats that provide a home for many plant and animal species.
